SILVIA NAISH RESEARCH STUDENT LECTURE
2003-2004
Recently launched in memory of Sylvia Naish, and endowed by a generous
bequest from her estate, the first lecture in the series was given on 22
February 2001 by Kristin Semmens (Cambridge). Her topic was 'Touring the
Past, Politicizing the Present: Tourist Culture in the Third Reich'.
Postgraduate students registered at Universities in the United Kingdom are
invited to submit proposals for the third lecture in 2003-2004. The lecture
forms part of the Institute's official programme of events, and modest
expenses in respect of travel and accommodation as well as an honorarium of
£100 are covered by the Sylvia Naish Bequest.
Abstracts, of not more than 500 words, should be related to students' topics
of research and sent to reach
