DPI e-news
Friday April 18, 2003
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It seems that our little e-updates are growing in popularity. Many of
those on the mailing list have been forwarding the updates to their
colleagues and friends. If you are one of those helping to spread our
updates, thank you very much! We would like to suggest that instead of
forwarding copies, it would be better to let people know that they can
subscribe to get the updates directly. All they have to do is go to our
website www.dpi.org and click on Subscribe on the global menu. Just
follow the instructions and that should take care of things. If there
are any problems with subscribing or with receiving the updates, please
contact Thanh Ly at [log in to unmask]
This week we are sharing the last but not the least of our position
papers. The DPI position on a UN Convention for persons with
disabilities has been posted on the website along with positions of
other organizations such as the World Blind Union. We’ve been getting
feedback from our positions and appreciate all the comments. Please feel
free to contribute to our dialogue concerning the UN Convention. This is
something that affects us all and the more it is discussed the more
prominence the issue will be given.
This week you will find the following postings:
