We use both DC.Type image and text. We use "text" when it is a scanned document and
"image" for photographs. For material that falls into both categories, we use
cataloger's judgement whether it is an image which includes some text, or it a
textual document with some illustration. We intend to use "sound" in the near
future. Our guidelines are at: http://digital-library.csun.edu/metadata.html
