Position : IA / UI Designer
Location : London
Start date: ASAP

My client is looking for a IA/UI Designer. This person will lead
the design effort for their suite of business support tools.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of user-centred
design, experience of designing Web-based applications and the
communication skills required to see the design through
implementation and into service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather requirements using appropriate user centred methods.
Create solutions based on these requirements.
Communicate designs through scenarios, prototypes, UI specs and
other means.
Liaise with Business Analysts to create the functional
specification.
Coordinate with the user interface designer on visual design.
Create training materials, run workshops etc. to ensure the
successful deployment of the applications.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree or higher in HCI / Ergonomics or related field.
3 or more years of UI design experience in the software
industry.
Success in leading the design effort for complex applications.
Experience designing web-based applications.
Competence with a variety of user-centred design methods.
Good understanding of web technologies and their pros and cons.
Strong appreciation of the software development process.
