Prospective cover has no relationship with the proportion of anti-social
hours.
This is however relevant to determining the appropriate pay band eg 2A
or 2B, 1A or 1B.

The calculations seem more complicated than this... as it depends on the
number of social and anti-social hours. They have even produced some
software on a CD to help the Consultant with time on his hands(?). It
seems
quite a little cottage industry, we now have 2 managers in the the Trust
just looking at Junior Doctors hours. Of course I'll now have to have
training for the software as well now!
Perhaps doctors should just get paid for what they do as opposed to how
long
they spend doing it.
Ray McGlone .... thinking of how to get back paternity leave for his 4
children??
