Hi Ben,
This is bad couple of days to explain since this area is in flux.
If you look at the latest site-cfg then this has.
#define SITE_GIIS YourSite
This is the the name of your site giis, problably ucl. Ie
ldapsearch -x -H ldap://$CEUCL:2135 \
-b 'Mds-vo-name=ucl,o=grid'
will return all the information for your site.
#define SITE_GIIS_HOSTNAME CE_HOSTNAME
This is the name of the host where is your site giis is
and is generally allways the CE so you can leave this as
it is.
#define TOP_GIIS !! ask !!
#define TOP_GIIS_HOSTNAME !! ask !!
These two should problably be edgapp and gppinfo06.gridpp.rl.ac.uk
respectivly.
This is where your site giis(ucl) registers into to appear as
ldapsearch -x -H ldap://gppinfo06.gridpp.rl.ac.uk:2135 \
-b 'Mds-vo-name=ucl,Mds-vo-name=edgapp,o=Grid'
Two things here are that while this host is up and running it
is not the top giis yet. It will be in a matter of days so
this is problably the best place to register to.
You will not be able to see your self here since the edgapp giis
imposes access controls on who can register. Once a certain
completley undefined amount of testing has been done then
access controls are altered to allow registration.
Also Dave is able to register people individually if your
hosts are not registered already with him.
