Take a look at Master Trak!! I track thousands of boxes a day with it. I can even track the shelving location! It's barcode driven! Give me a call if you would like some info! 800-750-4711 ext. 3149

Subject: Box Movement Software
Does anyone use off-the-shelf software for the management of box movements
within their offices?
We have boxes stored with a commercial off-site storage company but manage
all box movements internally - we collect new box transfers from client
departments, hold them in holding stores, add/edit the contents details,
collate the collections into consignments for off-site, sign them to the
storage company driver at our loading bays; we order the retrievals, sign
for them at the loading bay and deliver them to client departments; we
collect them and place them in the same holding storage for collating with
other returns and new box transfers into consignments. This operation
covers a number of different buildings. To mange the volume, each stage
need to be logged with the person and date/time etc.
Many commercial storage companies use the O'Neil software for warehouse
operations - is this used by many organisations for internal box movements,
if so did they have changes made to elements (as distinct from configuring
the system using the options already in place)?
