The Mathematical, Statistical and Computing Psychology Section of the BPS
(in conjunction with PsyPAG and the North East of England Branch of the
BPS) are considering arranging a day of talks, aimed at improving people's
knowledge of the use of statistics in psychological research.
The aim would be to introduce people to techniques that they may have come
across, or may want to use, but did not encounter in their undergraduate days.
The event will probably be held in York (although this is not
certain). The cost will be as low as it is possible to be - we would hope
to be less than £20, with bursaries available for postgraduate students.
We would be interested in hearing from people who had suggestions for areas
that they would like to know more about. Please email suggestions to
[log in to unmask] (NOT to the list).
Thanks,
Jeremy Miles
