POSTGRADUATE DEGREES IN
EUROPEAN LANGUAGES AND CULTURES
Departmental bursaries (European Languages and Cultures)
There are two bursaries available for students registering from October 2003:
i) M.A. bursary: one 1-year bursary of £500 will be allocated to a student
registering for the M.A. in Modern Languages Research.
ii) M.Phil./Ph.D: one 3-year bursary of £2870 per annum (to cover the cost
of fees, currently at £2870 per annum).
It is a condition of both awards that eligible students also apply for AHRB
funding. Bursaries are awarded on the basis of academic merit, but if equally
qualified candidates apply, then preference may be given to a student whose
interests match one of the department's priority M.Phil./Ph.D. outlines (please
enquire or consult our web pages).
