Lecturers in Human Geography
Applications are invited for a newly created chair and up to two
lectureships in human geography.
The Department of Geography at QMUL, graded 5A in RAE (2001), has an
international reputation for theoretically-informed,
empirically-grounded and politically-engaged research. Research in human
geography addresses the major themes of inequality and social justice;
health and population dynamics; culture, space and power.
Professor of Human Geography
Applicants must have an outstanding international reputation in research
within and beyond geography and a proven capacity for research
leadership. Research interests should relate to one or more of the
department's major research themes.
Salary by negotiation within the professorial range.
Lecturers in Human Geography
Applicants should have a PhD, a high quality publication record, a clear
and developing identity in research and an ability to develop research
links within and beyond geography. Research interests should relate to
one or more of the department's major research themes.
An exceptional candidate may be appointed to a senior lectureship or readership.
