Subject: Studies on children and disability
I am carrying out some preliminary research for OECD on a World Bank
commissioned report on data about children with disabilities and school
attendance. It is important for me to find out what kind of data is used by
those who are making decisions about projects involving children with
disabilities, particularly in developing countries.
While I'm making some progress with finding out about statistical surveys of
children and disabilities, I haven't found any evidence of people collecting
qualitative information about the experiences of children with disabilities
in developing countries.
I would be very grateful for any pointers you might be able to offer about
where I could look, or perhaps you know of studies currently being carried
out or proposed in the future?
Many thanks
JAN Georgeson
