Antipode editorship
Jamie Peck and Jane Wills complete their five-year terms as joint Antipode
editors in September 2003. The editorial board is seeking applications for
the two joint editorship positions, which may be made independently or
jointly, for the period September 2003-September 2008. The journal
provides resources for a part-time editorial assistant, editors' expenses,
and a development fund.
The principal role of the editors is to ensure that Antipode remains a
dynamic, relevant, and creative presence in the projects of radical
geography. To this end, specific duties of the editors include: managing
the review process for submitted papers; commissioning special issues and
other contributions; liaising with the Interventions & Reviews editor, the
Coordinating editor of the Antipode book series, and the editorial board;
maintaining the publication schedule, in conjunction with the publisher;
organizing occasional events, such as the Antipode lectures; overseeing
graduate student awards and other uses of the journal's development fund;
and working with the editorial board on the strategic development of the
journal.
