If the desire to see the subscription list is so you can know who can see
what you post, the answer is anyone can see what is posted on the list by
visiting the JISC Mail website where the archives of all the posts are
archived and publicly accessible. You are right to assume that the list is
as public as your webpage. The only difference between subscribers and non
subscribers is that subscribers automatically get forwarded the posts to
the list, providing the opportunity for interaction, discussion and
exchange. The only way to change that is to make restrictions on the list
access, which it seems pretty clear would be against what people want (me
included).
Thanks too for the invite to all to put forward contributions to the
webpage - it's a great resource. I think it is great to have that
complimentary combination of the web page and the list.
