All,
We have been using Uniform Resource Names (URN) with Globally Unique
Identifiers (GUID) for the value of the entry element in the catalogentry
element. These are of the form
urn:hlsi:obj-3abf16f8-d40d-486a-a2a4-a209df22f3ef where hlsi is Namespace
Identifier (NID) and obj is the Namespace Specific String (NSS).
It would appear that if you are to use URN and make them publicly
visible you should formally register the NID (which appears to be a slightly
complex process).
Does anybody have any experience of registering NIDs or have any
suggestions as to alternative routes?
Also any feedback on what other people are doing would be useful.
Regards,
Ben
