Dear instructors of German,
I would like to invite you to a collaborative project for developing
interactive online self-correcting exercises with context sensitive
feedback in German. If you are interested, please read on.
I am currently developing Shockwave-based exercises for studying
German. These exercises seek to provide a high level of context-
sensitive feedback that leads the students towards the correct answer -
often with an explanation. If the answer is wrong, a 'safety net'
catches the wrong answer and helps accordingly. Please visit
http://www.creighton.edu/~bohlke/gpo/index.htm
and check out Relativpronomen (22 items so far). If you like the
program and want to learn more about it, click on the 'join this
project' link on the same page. You will also find instructions on how
to contribute.
Contributions can be as small as 1 item for any topic, or several items
for a topic. I know first hand how much time the development of
interactive online exercises takes, and it is overwhelming to have just
one person do it all. Many colleagues have invested a lot of effort
into sharing wonderful exercises with e.g. HotPotatoes, WebPractest, or
Quia, and my students are enjoying them.
Please note that all the exercises created are freeware and that they
are freely available on the web to anybody. Your contributions must be
original, i.e. don't copy anything from a textbook or other copyrighted
sources, and submit them as yours! I will review and, if necessary,
edit your submissions for integration into the program.
Please contact me off-list if you have any questions. Thank you,
Olaf
