I am trying to bring up a few new WNs. Both are infitely looping with error
messages something like:
ERROR ldconfig: /opt/globus/lib not found
ERROR ldconfig: /opt/edg/lib nout found
I have commented out the Atlas modules, and from looking at the flagged RPM
lists, it looks like this has worked -- LCFG is not trying to install the
Atlas RPMs.
LCFG is throwing up warning messages along the lines of:
WARNING: updaterpms: installing package XXXXXX needs YYYYYY Mb on /
filesystem
But there are 2.6 gigs free on the / filesystem -- shouldn't this be enough?
Looking in /var/obj/logs/{update,updaterpms} doesn't offer any additional
insight (it just lists the flagged files and the list of warning messages
above).
FWIW, the CERN 0.0.2 package requires about a gig, and it gets me to
wondering if LCFG (or updaterpms) gets itself confused and double adds,
since I have warnings along the lines of:
j2sdk requires 50 Mb
root requires 90 Mb
zsh requires 91 Mb
cern requires 1090 Mb
ant requires 1091 Mb
IDL requires 1171 Mb
It is clearly not the case that ant requires 1091 Mb to install, but that
everything up to and including ant requires 1091 Mb, so could it be that
LCFG is reporting cumulative drive requirements for each package and then
adding up each of these incremental cumulatives? (i.e. thinkis it requires
~3.6 gigs to install those 6 packages)
TIA,
Ian.
