Hello All
Just joined the list and look forward to discussions in the future. My
interests are similar to previous posters but my direction's a bit
different.
Name: Kirsty Gray
Age: Hmm - OK, I'm 45!
Position: Information Rights Officer for Gateshead Council,
been in post about 18 months.
Not a records manager - long career in information management, from public
libraries in 70s through health service & voluntary sector in the 80s,
housing management in the 90s and now responsible for the Council's
corporate approach to citizens' assorted rights of access to information
under Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and other regulations. Hence
interest in records management - something we haven't really got a good
handle on yet!
Already found the postings about CALM and other systems useful - in early
stages of talks with other metropolitan boroughs in Tyne & Wear about
developing joint approach to RM and maybe even joint procurement of system
in co-operation with T&W Archive Service. Anyone got experience of
implementing system across different organisations???
