This may be an issue that is relevant to many of us. Although many
county authorities, and some of the larger unitaries, may already have
RM in some form or another, I am aware that several of our more rural
District Councils are going to have problems in setting up. Have many of
them been in touch with counties for advice? I have not seen many job
adverts.
In Lincolnshire, I am hoping to organise a session for DC staff, to
look at some of the problems. I will admit to still being on a learning
curve myself, as it is 30 plus years since my initial training at
Liverpool (I have been on the 'historical' side all this time, and I am
now on secondment to introduce FOI and RM).
I hope we manage to make a success of this discussion list, and look
forward to future contributions- if people can tear themselves away from
FOI implementation preparation! How many of us are trying to do both
jobs?
Best wishes,
Chris Johnson
