The best way, in my opinion, to sell RIM to management, is to tell them what
the Return on Their Investment (ROI) is. Highlight what a good RIM program
brings to the organization and what an organization looks like which doesn't
have a good RIM program. Management likes hard numbers and not soft costs.
They like savings and efficiencies. They like when you tell them feel good
stuff like, it will make your job easier, save time, save money, reductions
in man hours, compliant with legislation, performance measurement, workflow
and tracking, audit trails, etc. Know your audience and tailor your
presentation accordingly. In other words with senior management keep in
high level and as you go down the ladder with presentations it become more
personal or more "me" orientated. Cheers.
