To begin by introducing myself: I was appointed last October to set up a
RM system for Girton College. Having spent last term reviewing the
College's current RM practice I've just had my recommendations for the new
service approved, so now the real hard work begins of putting it all in
place!
A key part of the new service will be the semi-current records store, which
is being adapted from an existing room. This room has large windows at
ground floor level, which are West-facing and therefore get a lot of sun,
even at this chilly time of year.
What I'd appreciate from list members is advice on a source of internal
window shutters (or something similar) that will improve security and cut
out light. This is a listed building so whatever we use must be removable
and if possible aesthetically pleasing. A tall order I know!
Very grateful for any suggestions.
Best wishes,
Sarah
