Dear Management History list members
Below is a link to a conference on US philanthropic foundations
(Ford, Rockefeller etc) and globalization.
http://les.man.ac.uk/government/foundationsofglobalization.htm
The conference is multi-disciplinary, so I would like to emphasize
here its potential interest to management historians. We are
particularly keen to look at the role of Foundations in the spread of
management/administrative ideas, and also to take a long term
historical perspective, looking for example at the role of foundations
and management ideas and institutions in the Cold War. We are
inviting specific management historians who have worked in this
area as additional guest speakers, and would like to hear from
anyone working in or interested in this field.
With best wishes
Bill Cooke
