Thursday 3 April 2003
Thursday 8 May 2003
10.15am to 4.30pm
The National Monuments Record is the public archive of English Heritage. It
contains 10 million photographs, plans, database records and other
information on the architecture and archaeology of England.
This research day will provide guidance in using the resources of the NMR
for local history research. You will have the opportunity to apply your
learning by consulting records in the public search rooms and will be
encouraged to assess the resources critically.
Full details will be given about the NMR's enquiry and research facilities
with suggestions on how you can follow up areas of your own interest.
Fee for the day is £20 plus £4 for lunch
