I've always assumed a much higher corruption rate in politicians than Phil. And as he so lovingly remembers vinyl, I can't blame age for our relative cynicism. However...
Phil's figure of 1 in 10 is a poor failure ratio, even if they do only cost pence (the CDs, not the politicians). All the more reason to press on ASAP with getting digital project archives accessioned to ADS as a matter of course. Is there anyone out there already requiring ADS archiving as a standard requirement in briefs? Those of us who are not doing it need to start considering how to include this in briefs and how the units are going to budget for this in tenders. My feeling is that a contingency figure for digital archive preparation and submission may be the way to cover this.
