The threat that didn't work at national level ("sign up - its not
negotiable") is now being peddled at local level. The centre has asked
Trusts to present a Hobson's choice to consultants: sign up to the new
contract or sign up to incentives. Same message: "not negotiable".
You would expect an intelligent bunch of professionals to be able to see
through such a blatant divide and conquer strategy, wouldn't you?
