SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS FOR POSTGRADUATE STUDY
2003 Competition
The Italian department at Royal Holloway invites applications for
studentships open to students beginning postgraduate studies in the
department in 2003/2004.
The MA Representations of Italy offers an advanced study of Italian culture
through an exploration of how Italy and Italian identity have been
represented since the Renaissance. The Department can also provide expert
supervision in most areas of Italian Studies. We currently have 24 research
postgraduates working on topics ranging from Dante and Renaissance studies
to C20th Cultural Studies and Linguistics. For further information visit our

MA REPRESENTATIONS OF ITALY
1 Departmental Grant covering tuition fees at EU rates plus £1000 in
maintenance.
1 Departmental Bursary covering £1000 in maintenance
2 College MA Grants covering tuition fees at EU rates (shared with other MAs
in the MA Programme in European Culture and Theory)
RESEARCH: MPhil/PhD
1 Carlo Dionisotti Scholarship covering tuition fees at EU rates + at least
£6000 in maintenance for 3 years
1 College Research Grant covering tuition fees at EU rates for 3 years
1 Departmental Bursary covering £1500 in maintenance for 3 years
Deadline for application: 2 June 2003 for Research studentships. 2 July
2003 for MA grants.
