I think it's worth forwarding the ITeam minutes (we should probably do
this weekly anyway) since it covers some of the planning for sites
included in the EU Review Demo at CERN next Tuesday/Wednesday
( http://documents.cern.ch/AGE/current/fullAgenda.php?ida=a021814 )
From now until the end of the review, those sites will be running with
restricted grid-mapfile's and should only be used by people who are part
of preparations for the review (the minutes include some steps to get the
sites back to a cleaned up state.)
Cheers
Andrew

1) Site reports
CERN: no news
NIKHEF: no news
Lyon: the master BQS node on dev testbed is down. Will be fixed later today.
Nadia will send an e-mail when done
CNAF: no news
2) Planning for the EU review
Clean up of the application testbed is scheduled for
--- Friday, January 31st, between 9AM and 12AM ---
This is the list of items to clean up:
- home directories of virtual accounts of CE/WN nodes, including in particular
the .globus/.gass_cache directory. The local working area on WNs should
also be cleaned if in use.
- /tmp directory on RB
- job, JSS,and CondorG databases on RB
- all job queues
Further things to check are:
- SE disk space: contact VOs and ask them to clean up if needed.
For the moment there is no estimate of the SE disk space needed for the demo
- expiration date of all CRLs must be later than the end of the review
- check if gatekeeper/gridftp log files in /var/log are too large and reset
them if needed.
- same for RB/JSS logs in /var/tmp
- check if all WNs are in the correct working status (time, NFS mount, etc.)
- each VO must have an adequate number of free virtual accounts in the
gridmapdir. Clean up gridmapdir if needed.
RC collections are OK and should not to be touched.
Alessandro reported that the new MDS at CNAF is up and running and that
Legnaro, who is not participating to the demo, is not registered there.
When the MDS status will be correct, Call will reset the BDII.
Cal is collecting the list of people who will be authorized to run jobs during
the review and will distribute it.
All VOs are already aware of the cleanup. Jeff will propagate information
about the details.
After the cleanup Call will send certification jobs to each and every site.
These jobs will not check SE status.
Call will circulate details about the IRC chat session for the demo. The
main site will be the usual Czech one and there will be 2 backups, one at the
same site and one at NIKHEF.
3) News
- The Globus 2.2.3 rpm has been installed on the CERN dev testbed and is being
tested by Markus. Results are still unclear but the new MDS seems to work
better than the old one. A job storm is ongoing and Markus will report when
done.
- Today Cal will release the RH7.3 rpm lists.
4) AOB
None.
Cal will take minutes next time.
