The method of normobaric hypoxic therapy/training (adaptation to artificial
mountain air; inhalations of hypoxic gas mixtures under normal atmospheric
pressure) is definitely an effective approach suitable for children with
bronchial asthma, bronchitis (especially obstructive) and other respiratory
and cardiopulmonary diseases. There are appropriate results obtained by
various researchers and clinicians. I have also some experience of working
with pediatricians when using this method to treat such patients. Usual
results are improved phlegm removing, bronchodilation, increased lung
ventilation, improved immunological status. An amount of further acute
