Cardiff University School of Social Sciences
The Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) has provided funding (£1.5M) for an
Institute for the Study of Society, Health and Ethics as part of its

Humanities departments and various departments in the University of Wales
College of Medicine (UWCM).
You should be a senior social scientist, enthusiastic and willing to
embrace the interdisciplinary aims of the School of Social Sciences and the
Institute, and to bring colleagues together in ways that maximise the
potential for the development of research in society, health and ethics in
Wales. You should have a background in medical sociology, public health or
health services research, and operate with a broad understanding of health
