We carried out a structured trial of three monitor systems and opted for the
Marquette range - Dash & Eagle. Main advantages are simple, fairly intuitive
operation, straightforward movement to transport Dash for transfers, full
range of parameters and compatibility with our ITU. The Dash transports are
robust, powerful and have excellent battery life. Did not like the Datex, or
HP. Have been very happy with them since.

Subject: Monitors
I would be interested in the views of list members regarding monitors in the
emergency department particularly the pros and cons and/or experiences of
anyone who has had recent refurbishments to departments and purchased new
monitors in the process.
The three we are particularly interested in are:
Siemens SC7000 and SC 9000XL
Datex Ohmeda Cardiocap 5
Phillips IntelliVue MP60 and M3
