On the subject of being positive or not. I feel there is a bit of a paradox
in the Uk. I have come across a lot of the 'look on the bright side'
mentality about disability or 'put a brave face on it' type of thing'.
However conversely many of the disabled people I have spoken to have no
consept of a disabled identity , yet alone it being a positive one. They see
disability as only awfull and negative, having no positive aspects. How then
do we bridge the gap between the 'disabled movement' and all the other
