Dear all,
On April 30, the School of Geography at the University of Nottingham will be hosting the annual EGRG symposium. On behalf of the EGRG committee, I am pleased to announce that we have a very exciting line-up of panel speakers for the event which will take place in the afternoon. The theme of the symposium will be "A dialogue with economic geography and economic sociology: post-disciplinary reflections". The panel of speakers include
Andrew Leyshon (Geography, University of Nottingham)
Jamie Peck (Geography and Sociology, University of Wisconsin-Madison)
Annelise Riles (Law and Anthropology, Cornell University)
Mike Savage (Sociology, University of Manchester)
Don Slater (Sociology, London School of Economics)
Adam Tickell (Geography, University of Bristol)
The afternoon will consist of panel and extended audience discussions. Please make a note of the date for your diary (an application form will follow shortly). This promises to be one of the most exciting events of the year.
Thanks and best wishes,
Michael Samers, EGRG Secretary
