David,
I'm not particularly interested in the current debate with its multitude of
insulting messages.
However, I just wanted to make very sure that you realised that the
discussion is about Estonia. A beautiful country, were people, in spite of
constant colonisation and hostilities from all their neighbours, has managed
to retain their language and culture.
Whether you think Lenin's theories are this, that or the other, the practice
is that Lenin's Soviet Union refused to grant the Estonian people their
freedom and fought actively in war against them to prevent them from taking
it. The freedom war happened between february 1918 and the same month 1920.
The free Estonian republic lasted 22 years before it was their time for
Stalin.
As to experience, it probably depends on whether or not you belong to the
dominant or oppressed group of the particular society (a good indication
would be if you were Estonian- or Russian-speaking). A thing we who are sooo
good on the social model should be able to understand.
A little reflection before reaction maybe?
