The Annual General Meeting of Women in German Studies will be held next
Wednesday, 3 September, at the 15th Annual Open Conference 'Local
Narratives / Global Narratives of Identity', University of Bath, at
2.30pm.
If anyone has an item for the agenda, please could she send it to
Charlotte by 12 noon this Friday (reply to: [log in to unmask])?
The following Committee posts need to be filled at the AGM:
Treasurer, Postgraduate representative, Freelance representative, and
Part-timer representative.
We have not so far received any volunteers or suggestions of names for
the posts. If you would be interested in taking on a role on the
Committee, please email Charlotte or Lesley Sharpe
([log in to unmask]), or talk to one of the Committee at the
conference next week.
Thank you very much to Birgit Roder for her hard work as Treasurer and
Joanne Sayner for hers as Postgraduate Representative for the last three
years. Thanks also to Margret Vince who has served on the
Committee and run the Freelance Register for six years.
Congratulations to Teresa Ludden, who is
resigning as Part-timer representative on gaining a full-time post at
Oxford Brookes, and thanks to her for returning to the Committee for this
last year.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the conference next week,
All the best
Charlotte
