Hi All,
The following information has also been sent as an attachment.
BVSNW E-Bulletin
The aim of establishing a BVSN Wales' electronic bulletin is to exchange
information about what is happening in the BME voluntary sector in Wales and
beyond. We aim to provide professionals in the voluntary sector, statutory
sector, as well as activists and interested individuals with rich and
dynamic news and information resource on BME issues in Wales and the rest of
the UK. The aim is also to act as a gateway, providing easy access to
information of particular relevance to those working in the Black Voluntary
Sector in Wales. In order to ensure that our subscribers are not
over-loaded with information, we could aim to send out bulletins (including
links*) on the following areas:
· BVSNW** updates, submitted discussion papers and information
· Community Development
· Contacts
· Training
· Information (initiatives, funding etc)
· Conferences
· Updates
· Government policy
· Equalities
· Economic Development
· Housing
· Health & Social Care
· Education
Additional subjects may be added dependant on need.
This is not a discussion or e-group (this service will be made available via
BVSNW', it is however a mechanism for highlighting, sharing and passing on
information to other people, groups and organisations.
Bulletins will be sent as attachments in MS Word format. If you experience
problems opening attachments please contact me and I will send information
in a more appropriate format.
While e-bulletins will not be used to post leaflets, posters or documents,
these can be posted on BVSNW's website with appropriate links added to the
e-bulletin.
*To avoid duplication, the BVSNW E-bulletin can be used to provide email
links or publicise the availability of documents and publications.
**Including Communities First Support Network (CFSN) and Black and Ethnic
minority Support Team (BEST)
If you would like to receive BVSNW e-bulletins please contact me stating
your area(s) of interest.
