With the support of established projects and working examples from England &
Wales the event aims to offer the Muslim community and Mainstream
Practitioners an opportunity to engage with an alternative approach to
reducing health inequalities from a perspective that is conducive to the
Muslim way of life.

The event will deliver illustrative examples of the Muslim dimension and
concepts of three elements of health: CHD & Diabetes, Smoking Cessation and
Drugs and Substance Misuse

Community Benefit
The community will profit with health knowledge from a perspective that is
acceptable to and aligned with their fundamental faith and beliefs.

The vision is to effectively deliver a message of how Islam looks at the
three stands of health and thus stimulate and provoke a thought process in
which delegates will naturally begin to acknowledge self-determination of
their own health and well being.

Practitioner Benefit
The event will offer insight and knowledge of the Muslim dimension to health
and well being with key strands of focus being CHD & Diabetes, Smoking
Cessation and Drugs and Substance Misuse.
