I found Andrew Savoury comments reassuring:
"Frankly, if your CMS hides everything behind a query string, then it is
badly broken - at least for serving content to end-users. ...
Time to install a new server / web application if this is the case ;-)
(Incidentally, Apache Cocoon can transparently map from dynamic query
strings to sensible static urls.)"
So this is coming along and the message has been taken onboard in
certain sectors, such as Cocoon developers.
I would also suggest that if the ability to provide static URIs is a
mandatory requirement when you are evaluating CMSs this will also help.
