Intrigued by the fact that
> http://www.drc-gb.org/newsroom/newsdetails.asp?id=393§ion=1
offers no "ALT" text for the "GO" button on its search feature,
I accessed the page using Lynx. The "Go" button appears as
"[Image] - Submit", and follows the "Search" dialogue box,
so I used the "Search" function to search for "ALT". It
suggested that I might have meant "ALLOT", but returned
a dozen hits, the first six of which were (wait for it) . . .
A F L A S H M O V I E
:-((((( Amazingly, the flash movie link (obviously
inaccessible in Lynx) had the following text in juxtaposition
with each link
* The Disability Rights Commission - Flash Movie
stylesheets/accessOptions.asp alt=Disability Rights Commission. Click
here to view our text
Needless to say, the "here" of "Click here" was not clickable, nor
was (for that matter) any of the prose apart from the
"The Disability Rights Commission - Flash Movie" links. So how
the non-Flash-enabled user is meant to navigate the Disability
Rights Commission site is beyond this humble scribe. It looks
depressingly like an urgent case for "Physician, heal thyself".
