I teach GNVQ Intermediate ICT using Learnwise.
Mostly it is a case of ensuring that they have all the information that they
need available. Take them through the theory & techniques they have to
master, and give detailed instructions on what precisely has to be done for
each piece of coursework.
They've got used to the 'Go and look on Learnwise' when they ask the same
question for the sixth time.
Sorry... got to go. More later if you're interested!

Subject: Using VLEs with 16-18 year olds
Remember that replies go to the entire list!
********************************************
I am currently researching into the use of VLEs with 16-18 year olds. I
am looking to develop an online module using WebCT to help AVCE/GNVQ ICT
students to develop the necessary skills to succeed in learning online.
This would most probably be delivered using a blended learning approach.
I am really interested in what others are doing with this age group.
Any
experiences or advice? What works or does not work with this age group?
Regards
Nicola Hanson
