Dear All,
Some of you may recall that in April this year the Learning
Technologies Group at Oxford organised a one-day
colloquium at the Union debating chamber. In particular this
concluded with a lengthy discussion around the motion:
'This house believes that commercial Virtual Learning Environments (LMS)
provide sufficient facilities for the teaching and learning needs of
Higher and Further Education'
We have now mounted most of the transcriptions from the talks and
debates on the web and these are all at available at:
http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/ltg/events/beyondnew/
We will be adding the final scripts when we receive them but for now we
hope the material is of interest to you.
Can I also draw your attention to the next event being held at Oxford:
"The Shock of the Old 3: E-Learning and Designing and Developing for the
Disciplines"
This will be held on the 24th July in the Said Business School and the
programme is now complete. You can find further details at the end of this
message, or at http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/ltg/events/shock/.
Yours
Dr Stuart Lee
Head of the Learning Technologies Group
University of Oxford
