Western Colleges Consortium Curriculum Collaboration Events
The aim of each event is to encourage and collaboratively produce
learning objects for use within a VLE (or for use in a classroom).
The target audience are experienced lecturers and teachers who are
capable of producing original content.
You do not need to be IT literate or have any knowledge of producing web
based materials. The content of the learning objects would be produced
by the practitioners, the assembly, design and VLE implementation would
be done by the WCC if required. You do not need to have IT skills to
attend.
All attendees will be given access to and copies of the materials and
have an indefinite licence to utilise them within an educational
environment (the concept is similar to that of the NLN materials). In
other words you will be able to use (and change) the learning objects in
any way you see fit and to meet the needs of your students.
The copyright will be retained by the WCC, this is to ensure that we can
distribute the materials to the attendees of the event - we will not be
selling any of the objects.
The learning objects will be IMS compliant and will sit within any IMS
compliant VLE.
The cost of each event is £40.
