The Education & Information Support Division (EISD), which provides
integrated support services for UCL’s academic and administrative
activities, has two new posts to work on innovative approaches in
learning and teaching.

Learning Technologies Support Officer - INFORMATION SYSTEMS (Ref 31638)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to foster,
facilitate and support the use of virtual learning environments and
other learning technologies in learning and teaching across UCL. This
will involve assisting academic staff in creating online courses or
incorporating online elements into their teaching programmes as well as
promoting appropriate use of available technologies.
Candidates should be experienced educational technologists with the
ability to work closely with academics, technical staff and senior
management. They will be graduates with excellent technical,
communication and presentation skills. Experience of using WebCT would
be an advantage.
Salary will be in the range £23,259 to £28,404 (inclusive of London
Allowance). The appointment is for three years. Interviews are expected
to be held on Monday, 3rd March 2003.

Head of Teaching and Learning Support Section - LIBRARY SERVICES (Ref
30600)
This post will involve responsibility for managing and enhancing the
provision of taught-course materials for a large multi-site academic
library service. The postholder will manage the section and will be
responsible for assessing and implementing a range of new initiatives,
including the provision of a web-based reading lists service.
The successful applicant will have a degree, a high level of IT skills
including web page and database design, excellent presentation and
communication skills and an understanding of virtual learning
environments.
Salary will be in the range £23,259 - £29,473 (inclusive of London
Allowance). In addition, Library Services offers a generous leave
allowance and a flexitime system. This is a permanent post. Interviews
are expected to be held on Friday, 28 February 2003.
