I wondered if anyone could tell me more about Colleges Online which, I
believe, is planned to start later in the year. I understand that it may be
called NLN Online or even oNLiNe. Is this to reflect the wider remit of
14-19?
How is it to be constructed?
What will it do?
How much funding does it have?
Who is responsible for coordinating it?
What model will be used - is it a home for free material or will it be an
advertising space for commercial providers or both?
Will it deliver online learning or online learning materials for local
delivery?
How will it fit in with similar systems like the FENC online Big Catalogue
and learndirect?
How will it fit in with Curriculum Online?
This might be a very significant development for the future of FE and it
would be good to be prepared and even to shape oNLiNe to be most effective
in support of mainstream FE.
If this discussion is already taking place, can you direct me to it please?
