Thank you. It was very sombre at the exhibition, There was the actual
written words and other historical artifacts of the poets but the thing that
moved me as well as the poetry was a small piece of broken wire from the
trenches. To me it was a symbol of suffering like a crown of thorns. Of
Christ within the man. I meant this to be strong and for people to identify
with, Yes the syllables are short to give the impact of the bullet. The
longer syllables signify the pain of suffering.
