Dear Gary,
I wonder if you have to be a driver to appreciate this poem. I'm aware
that there's a whole mystique about motoring that goes right over my head.
This seems to be based on the premise that there is something very
interesting and significant about different types of large motor vehicles,
paricularly in the rain, but I'm not getting it.
I didn't understand the purpose of the asterisks -they just seem distracting
as the poem stands.
Kind regards,
grasshopper
Grassy, the * bracket italics.
I think you need to be a husband and father to appreciate. I usually get a
poem or two from the drives to take my daughter to and from Cannon Beach,
four hours each way. And my wife still hints she needs a new van, she the
driver in the family.
Smiles.
Gary
