Prepositions and prepositional phrases pop up a few times in my poems and I'm
still trying to work out what they are so that I can make informed judgements
in the future. You and Arthur gave me one or two pointers last time, but I'm
not there yet. Could you give me a couple of examples of prepositional
phrases and how they might be reworded to overcome the problems associated with
them? No worries if you haven't time.
Thanks,

Shalom Colin,
I am in the throws of setting up for school; these are two examples that come
to mind off the top of my head:
I sang to the tune of the morning.
I sang morning's tune.
kol tuv, Ryfkah
The rain splattered on the ground.
The rain splattered earthward.
