Short Poems
1.
Green creeper
covers the pavement
with spiral steps.
Delicate creeper
encroaches the bark
in spiral embrace.
2.
Sun simmers
and labour sweats,
commodities bloom.
Hot sun -
footprints are cast
in dried up tracts.
3.
Winter lingers
reindeers slide down the slope,
prompting a tired surrender.
Tired evening,
a crow caws the last sermon,
time to prepare for pilgrimage.
4.
Lunch at terrace garden,
one more phobia
added to dictionary.
They were there -
apprehensions and concerns,
now listed as phobic neuroses.
5.
Golden lid of universe
covers face of Truth, allowing
us to perceive the beautiful.
For a moment cover the quality
I want to see the substance,
I am also seeker after Truth.
6.
Laughter ricochets after
striking adamantine wall,
hard realities of blue sky.
Laughter ends in a sob,
grief springs again and again
from the fountain of joy.
7.
The restless ocean,
waves dash against the shore
to reclaim their possession.
The island laughs
as waves wax and wane
with lunar madness.
8.
The last laugh
echoes and re-echoes
as words and thoughts.
Desires sprout
and hang as fruits -
some bitter, some sweet.
