I have read two wise letters from you this morning, Arthur. In one you
welcome a new member (someone I just trounced on most impolitely). Instead you did
a through critique sans animosity and gave Philip a proper welcome. In the
second, you referred to Plath and visiting her grave. What a sad and lovely
picture. Yes, I do hear echoes of Plath in Grasshoppers's poem. It is good to
have your calm and wise voice and your erudition reminding us to think and to
be kind. Sue
