A Haibun is a form used by Basho the haiku master. It involves terse prose,
describing a journey most often, although that is not, I think, mandatory.
It always terminates with a haiku and can have haiku sprinkled as it were in
amongst the prose text.
In this piece the prose is a little richer than the desired, perhaps, and
the haiku are not really good examples of the genre. However I like this
slightly customised version which suits me and what I want to say. Alfie is
good company. Arthur.
