I think this is interesting about your religion. I live in what we call the
"Bible belt" in the Southern United States. Sin and its consequences are
intricately a part of our lives here. Someone laughingly said, " My religion
doesn't keep me from sinning. It just keeps me from enjoying it." (smile).
However, we have our comforter, a god who became man and lived a sinless life, then
died to atone for our fallen state. He rose from the dead and lives forever.
Therefore, we are free because of that. It is just that some of us never
manage to forgive ourselves (those haunting spirits) although God does. Sue
