Hi Bob,
Yes, on reflection 'like' is probably the most important word in the piece,
because it isn't about an amateur astronomer or whatever astro-man is - I
know nothing about such things. It's about a lonely person who keeps trying
to connect, keeps believing that one day it will hapen. Maybe akin to
someone sitting at a screen and sending out poems and messages, waiting for
feedback and connection etc etc
